Facilities
The current Ford Yacht Club clubhouse was rebuilt
in 1991. An outside balcony overlooks Lake Erie.
The front inside balcony provides a cozy get together
area. There is a new patio with bar and food service.
The back inside balcony provides an area
for games, a TV and a well-stocked library for
quiet reading. The Board Room is off the back
balcony. The main floor contains the
Dining Room, Lounge, Ships Store, Office,
Game room and Restrooms.
There is
24 hour
/ 365
day a year
access
to the
Back
Lobby.
The
lobby
has the
payphone,
forms
rack,
bulletin
board
and
office
mailbox.
The
restrooms
are
heated
and
access
is
available
during
non club
business
hours
from the
outside.
The
restrooms are complete with shower facilities.
A key
for
Members
is
required
from the
manager
to
access
these
areas.
Ships Store
Most weekends the Ship Store, which is operated by the First Mates, is open for
browsing.
The
store
has many
nautical clothing, gifts and necessary items. Many
of these
items
carry
the
Ford
Yacht
Club
logo.
If
the
store is
closed,
check in
the
Lounge
area for
assistance.
Fine
Dining
The Clubhouse dining
room has a capacity for 170 people. Our
Restaurant Manager/Chef & Bar Coordinator, Jeanne Liedel, will offer a fresh new menu selection every week along with the regular menu.
The Dining Room
is available for lease by Members from Labor Day
to Memorial Day. Food is always available
in the Lounge area if the Dining Room is closed
for a private party.
Lounge
 Our
separate cocktail lounge with a capacity for 50
is spacious and well staffed. There are nightly
drink specials and theme parties throughout the
year. (check calendar for details)
Wednesdays Euchre from 7:30 to 10:00 pm.
Game Room
The
Game
Room (kids room) has
a pool
table
and
Darts.
The room
is open
for use
by the
members
during
Club
business
hours. Children
are free
to use
the room
under
adult
supervision.
